Gunk be Gone
by Hollis and Prince
I’m obsessed with hair products, and have a strong bond with hairspray that I just can’t break. An over abundance of product leaves my hair feeling grimy because of the residue buildup that normal shampooing just doesn’t touch. On top of that, living 25 minutes outside of the city, we have a well. So in addition to product film, I have the joy of hard water minerals that also builds up on my hair. Once a week I combat the situation with a clarifying shampoo that removes the gunk. I favour Bumble and Bumble Sunday Shampoo, which is “a weekly (any day) detox to rid hair of product residue, hard water minerals, pollutants, you name it. Perfect for product junkies and infrequent washers” (http://www.bumbleandbumble.com). The only downside to a clarifying shampoo is that if you colour your hair, the shampoo will also strip away some of that as well. So you may notice your colour fading quicker then usual, but for me it’s a sacrifice I’m willing to make to get the nasty stuff of off my locks!
For Halifax readers, you can find Bumble and Bumble products at Sephora (Halifax Shopping Centre, or http://www.sephora.com/) or Thumpers Salon (1813 Granville Street, or http://www.thumperssalon.com/).
Happy Sunday!

I have a love for hairspray that leaves me feeling guilty. I bet the ozon layer is thining right above my house
Tell me about it
Thanks for the tip! I’m also a hair product junkie!
Love Bumble Products. Spray de Mode and Brilliantine are my favs. Now that my hair habits have changed, I am glad you reminded me about Sunday shampoo. It’s just what I need because I only shampoo my hair a couple of times a month – usually just rinse with conditioner.
I am a product nut too
loving pureology and morrocan oil right now
