Critic
by Hollis and Prince
For those of you who are regular subscribers to Hollis and Prince, you’ve probably noticed that our pug, Doug, has been in a couple of Lookbook photographs. Now without sounding like a crazy obsessed dog owner, I’d like to share something amusing that he did the other day.
My husband and I were outside, when we heard him barking like crazy. This isn’t out of the norm, since he’ll bark at absolutely any thing. Even leaves blowing outside the window will set him off. Curious about what was making him so ticked, I had at peak through the door. There he was doing a barking, circle dance at the chair by the hutch. I then realized that he was going balistic over my faux fur trimmed sweater vest that was lying on the chair. Obviously, this completely cracked us up, so I ran inside to grab the camera (like every proud parent would do). By the time I was situated he was done, but luckily he was still PO’s enough to have another go at the threatening beast. Here’s the video (don’t mind the strap flying around):
And the here’s vest in question:
Dangerous, isn’t it? I know I’d be freaked!
So there you have it. My dog is intimidated by clothing…or he’s a fashion critic… take your pick.

Very funny video! Doug is adorable!
Too funny.
Er…did your dog do the sound effects for Jurassic Park? What a big scary noise from such a totty wee thing!
Bug @ Bugwear
He has to make up for his size with a big voice… more cute then threatening
…
Love Doug the Pug! Too cute! And love that you caught that on video hehe
I guess you will have to forgive him as he is extremely gorgeous!!!.
My dog has a taste for sleeves specially if they are DKNY or Henry Holland’s. Bless the furry critics.
LOL… figures. Higher in price the better they taste :p…
Definitely…Expensive taste!
So cool!! Oh he is cute. But be warned after teasing your little man, you may end up next time with a shreaded sweater vest! – which is adorable also by-the-way. G
No doubt! I had one who loved to chew clothes… Destroyed one of my favourite, semi-brand new, Banana Republic sweaters… I still think about it and (almost) cry…
See, I KNEW I wasn’t the only person who had a dog who liked to shred clothing! Micki, my nearly-4-yr-old Airedale Terrier lives to tear up clothing. My hypothesis is that she was a critic or a stylist in a former life because she also likes to lick my hair and pull it out until it looks just right–in her mind. Right now, she’s trying to take the lining out of one of the sleeves in a very, very old winter coat we wear to take her and her two 4-legged friends out to potty in winter. That coat also did suck rotten eggs, so I don’t blame her.
LOL
!
Doug the pug rocks!!
My parents dog ‘Monty’ has too many foibles to mention…he’s currently under a doggy shrink
LOL… no kidding.. maybe Doug needs therapy too
…
So beautifully funny
he maybe saw himself in an afterlife.
